Danielle Adams is an award winning masseur in Cardiff who runs and owns Dakota Therapies. Orginally from the USA, Danielle has studied massage and kinesiology both in the USA and UK at East West College of Healing Arts in Portland, Oregon and at Bristol College of Massage and Bodywork.
Danielle came to SteveJ SEO to improve her organic rankings which would improve the traffic to her site and number of bookings. The site was designed in WordPress and visually had a great design but it lacked SEO optimisation. It was also key to ensure that she received quality visitors that wanted a professional massage and NOT the kind of massage with special extras !!
The Strategy
The strategy was to perform an initial technical review of the site looking at hosting, performance and integration with Google Search console, Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics before performing on page optimisation.
Steve identified that performance was slow and came up with a 35 point plan for the web developer to improve, this included PHP upgrade version, image compression, server keep alive connections, enabling TLS 1.3 and HTTP/2, serving images from a CDN, removing inactive plugins and themes.
Steve strongly believes in getting the website technically correct before you can reap the benefits of SEO optimisation.
After the developers took on board most of the recommendations, Steve performed on-page SEO optimization of all the pages to focus on Cardiff and Massage.
